Lower Carbon Aluminium Sheet and Plate for Australian Manufacturers

LocAl® 5005 sheet and LocAl® 5083 plate, are two popular alloy options used by Australian manufacturers, delivering quality, reliability and flexibility for a range of projects.

LocAl® 5005 Sheet
Stocked Nationally

LocAl® 5005 sheet is available through Capral’s national distribution network, ready for immediate dispatch. Lightweight, versatile, and corrosion-resistant, 5005 is the trusted choice for roofing, cladding, signage, transport, and general fabrication. Its excellent workability makes it easy to bend, fold, and form across multiple applications.

LocAl® 5083 Plate

For applications requiring higher strength and exceptional corrosion resistance — such as marine, defence, or heavy transport — LocAl® 5083 plate is available on an indent basis. Known for its weldability and toughness, 5083 is ideal for demanding environments where performance cannot be compromised.

Why Choose LocAl

LocAl Green’s CO2e emissions are significantly less than the global average for primary Aluminium, 12.46kg CO2e/1kg Al*. At 4kg CO2e/1kg Al, LocAl Super Green boasts one of the lowest carbon emissions for primary aluminium currently available.

Reducing the CO2e impact of your aluminium is important because it helps to mitigate the effects of global climate change, improves public health, boosts the global economy, and maintains biodiversity. When we cut carbon emissions, we help ensure cleaner air, water, and food for our generation and for generations yet to come.

Choosing to use LocAl Aluminium as part of a responsible procurement strategy for your business will positively impact your organisation’s global impact on both the environment and climate.

* Capral utilises a Mass Balance System in line with ISO 20095:2020 Chain of Custody to manage its LocAl Products. CO2e emissions stated are ex smelter based on kilograms emitted per kilogram of aluminium produced – Aluminium Smelting and Casting [International Aluminum Institute (IAI)]
